The Haunted Barrel Works (Centreville Park)

Part 3

Centreville Park (Centre Island, Ontario)

Jason Burkett

The ride continues past a well where Frankenstein is living, apparently.

This piano player is off to the side and not used.

This Pirate was in need of some suspenders when I visited. Management put out a call to a tailor.

This evil witch awaits you next. Anybody got a barrel of water?

This hairy devil guy to the right is the next scare before heading into the mine below.

A few beams give way as you ride through.

If you can escape before the supports break, you just may get through to catch someone taking a shower!

A very well done in-house stunt!!!

She may look beautiful from this angle, but be prepared for a shock as she turns around. Even with the new bikini, this was still a surprising stunt in this ride, but NOTHING prepared me for what was next. Easily the best surprise of the ride, and VERY well done.

A classic guillotine stunt, done in-house, that goes all the way completely severing the head. I would have thought this stunt would be a maintenance nightmare, but apparently not.

And of course, how should the Haunted Barrel Works finish? With some falling barrels, of course! The classic Funni Frite stunt completes your ride as you head back into the station.

The end to a GREAT ride. It's hard to get to, but the ride is well worth it and it's very nice to know that the management is well aware of what they have and take great care of it. If you are ever in Toronto, try and make it out to the island.

Once again, I'd like to thank Shane Beasley for giving me a tour and answering all of my questions. And also a thanks to the wonderful ride op. If she hadn't suggested it, I would not have gotten the tour.

The end
